I have been a professional Search Engine Optimizer (SEO) since 1997. I happily stumbled upon the industry by accident when some of my clients started asking what this internet thing was and how could they get their businesses online. That was March of 97 and I've been at it ever since. 
I’ve led SEO efforts for over 400 different clients in my time. I’ve marketed everything from diamonds to doorknobs, cars to refrigerators and stoves. Yes… stoves. One of my past clients was Thrifty Car Rental where I led a campaign that brought internet marketing efforts to hundreds of their location specific sites. I optimized across the US, Canada, Mexico, The Caribbean, and the rest of Latin America. I also optimized sites in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Italy.
My main expertise is in organic SEO. Organic SEO focuses on the search results that are not sponsored listings. The top three listings on a search engine and the results on the far right are generally paid results that anyone can get. Organic results have a higher ROI than paid listings. 10,000 visits from an organic results has a fixed cost associated with it; my fees. 10,000 results from a paid ad has my fees plus a cost per click that could be around $2-5 per click! If you spend $20,000 on clicks and only convert 2% of those clicks to a sale, you are only converting 400 visitors. That means you paid $50 PER SALE! Can you afford that kind of cost per acquisition??
