SEO Resources and Helpful Information

Some information can be kind of difficult to find. We have composed some resources we think you will find useful.

SEO Hiring Guide
Instead of engaging an outside SEO firm, many companies choose to hire their own internal SEO experts. The trouble is, if it is your first SEO employee, how you can be sure they have the skills required for your job? There is a vast difference in skill levels between SEOs and unless you are a skilled SEO yourself, it will be very difficult for you to ascertain your candidates’ skill level. That’s where our guide comes in. We have written descriptions of beginner, intermediate, and advanced SEOs and the skills they should have. We have also composed a long list of interview questions you could use with corresponding answers based on skill level. This guide and set of questions will really help you understand the skill level of your candidates.

Check out our SEO Interview Questions page to see the questions and download them in PDF format.

SEO Salaries by State
Hiring an SEO means that you have to step up and offer the correct salary. It can be hard to find good information about what an SEO should be paid, so we did the work for you. The salary list we have created was compiled from all open “SEO Specialist” positions and is updated monthly. We list the average salary by state and also offer an adjustment for cost of living. It is important to consider cost of living because $50,000 in Alabama goes a lot farther than it does in California.

Find out of your salary offering is competitive by visiting our SEO Salary page.
